Initiative will offer Butterfly iQ+ Vet to all Petco pet care centers’ full service veterinary hospitals to enhance veterinary services

Butterfly Network, Inc—a digital health company that offers handheld, whole-body ultrasounds—and Petco Health and Wellness Company, Inc agreed to implement Butterfly iQ+ Vet into Petco's pet care clinics.

"As we continue bringing innovative technologies to the full-service veterinary hospitals in Petco pet care centers nationwide, we are thrilled to partner with Butterfly to increase pets' access to high-quality ultrasound imaging," said Whitney Miller, DVM, MBA, DACVPM, Petco chief veterinarian, in a company release.1

"The single probe, full body technology of the Butterfly iQ+ Vet system will arm our veterinarians with ultrasound imaging that will help speed diagnoses and improve health outcomes, ultimately delivering the best possible care to every pet, as well as the families who love them,” she added.

According to the release,1 Butterfly iQ+ Vet is the second-generation of Butterfly's veterinary ultrasound device. These ultrasound devices provide sharper imaging, a new procedural guidance tool, and hardware enhancements for a more powerful, user-friendly solution.
