Lizzo’s nails never miss, and the glossy French look she wore at the 2023 BAFTAs serves as proof. But the best part of the style is the fact that Lizzo’s nail artist Eri Ishizu shared how to recreate it.

Hudgens’s abstract Oscars red-carpet mani is deserving of its own award. “We wanted to do something classic and chic that compliments her vintage Chanel dress while being unique at the same time,” her nail artist Zola Ganzorigt said of the style.

“Her classic look called for classic shades, so it was only fitting that we used OPI Black Onyx and Funny Bunny,” Ganzorigt continued. “Vanessa loves adding a twist when it comes to her look, and so while we did black-and-white nails, we spiced it up with a half reversed and half traditional French nails.”

The Modern Family star mixed up her French mani with moody hues and a matte finish for the Critics Choice Awards. To get the look, manicurist Thuy Nguyen sculpted Hyland’s nails into an almond shape with Apres Gel Ionic Gel.

Nguyen then applied a neutral base, which was three parts Ionic Gel and one part We Wheat Again, and created a V-shape French tip with Royal Stamp while using Apres Gel Artiste Gel Liner brush to help with the detailing. “Finally, I gave Sarah a matte finish instead of our usual high-shine, glossy finish,” she said.

To get the look, nail artist Eri Ishizu molded 3D flowers with acrylic on the nails, and then she applied OPI Gel Color in Silicon Valley Girl. After curing, she added some crystal using OPI Gel Color Stay Strong Base Coat, and finished with OPI Gel Color Stay Matte Top Coat.

Chastain matched her metallic mani to her mesmerizing Oscars gown. To get the look, celebrity nail artist and educator Julie Kandalec used The Gel Bottle Inc. Vogue Gel Color.
